10:00 am. Woke up to drink water and eat a little bit of my left over sandwich from Friday. The 2 drink rule has betrayed me again. The price I pay for good friends and to hear funny stories (I saw penguin stories with Ryan and his friend called "Sarge") After the sandwich I went back to bed. 1:00 pm. I started to move... eat the rest of my "wich" and watched a little bit of the tube. Just to get jump started. "Going to the Movies" entered my mind. 2:30 pm. Decided to be productive, went to the studio with intentions to start a piece. That didn't work out as planned. Instead I sat around helped Owen put up drywall.. ate at a chinese buffet with Dave and procrastinated some more. 6:30 pm. Went home and chilled for a bit and headed to the movies.... 7:10 pm. movie starts... 8:40 ? The movie ends. saw "The Boys Are Back". Good movie, sad at times but I am digging the emotional ride these past few weeks. There is also something nice about going to the movie solo. Something I discovered a few years ago. 9:00 pm Whats next? hmmm... 9:30 pm I realized how much time I wasted on checking my Facebook this past few days... it disturbed me. 10:00 pm bike is packed in the back of the truck Im headed for Hoboken... the mission begins... I think this is were it all went downhill... 11pm - 3:30 am This is what happened Was it the Facebook? Was that the reason? It was a fun adventure no matter what, and hope to go and do it again before the freezing temps arrive. I saw so many things that could not be documented in still frame... playing in the rain, in and out of traffic, almost got doored and ran over a few times (not that fun, I want to live), people watching at Times Square, hundreds of inebriated citizens everywhere... one girl was dead weight passed out on the path (hope she is alright) her boyfriend tried to carry her out of the train but it was just a mess, the end tail of a fight, oh lets not forget the assholes that just likes to yell at speeding cyclist :)... and girls having girls night out (I blame "Sex in the City"). Soundtrack for the night "silversun pickups: Carnavas" like that band. Blasting through the city on a bicycle is super fun. Definitely worth the groggy feeling I am experiencing right now. My first professional soccer game courtesy of Ann and Kellie... attending the game it was me, Kellie and Julia. Dynamo (Houston) vs Dallas. My 12 day trip to California to meet up with friends and to attend a wedding of a good friend. Thank you Bern, Piter, Jud, Andrew & Angel, Angel's Family & friends, Ron & Stacey, Jess & Vinny and Dan. It as an awesome time and California stole my heart. I shall return to stay. Here are some flicks of New Jersey and Jen. I took a weekend to spend some time with Jen Conde. It was a great time and amazing weekend. I will admit it was strange sometimes but good strange. Happy birthday to me and happy anniversary to Kellie & Paolo. Our camping trip to the Guadalupe river to celebrate these special occasions. It was a great trip, air conditioned tent, frogs, fish, beer, tubing, snapping turtles, floating coolers, new friends and a giant crawfish. Unfortunately, when we came back from that camping trip my AC unit at my apartment broke while I was away and I was temporarily placed at a model home while management waited for the labor day weekend to pass to fix my AC. I was placed in a model home, fully furnished. It was interesting to stay there for a few days, it felt like a nuclear test site. Everything was fake, fully furnished house pictures and all with empty drawers and closet. As much as it was fun to play house, I couldn't wait to get back to my humbe apartment... ok, I think that is it for now... Holy sh*t, I just read the entry from last week and boy was surprised to realize how unclear I was. I saved a copy of the entry on the second page, to remind me how crazy it gets sometimes. Well let me try this again. My best friend Ryan came down last weekend and I had so many expectations and plans for his weekend so when he got to Houston. Naturally I became so stressed about our plans, keep in mind that these plans, we didn't discuss. Ryan didn't really have a clue what I had planned for him so the pressure was basically self inflicted. After an uncomfortable first day, I remembered my trip last year and what I learned from it, trust life and expect nothing, enjoy what is in front of you and just let go of yesterday and not worry about tomorrow, roll with the day and do what you feel. When was the last time you woke up without a chore or a to do list? and feeling comfortable, grateful for not having one. I remember it taking a months before I enjoyed my workless days and getting over the worry of being label irresponsible or lazy. Once I did though, oh man what a feeling, I felt so young and free. Ever since I started working and living on my own, Its been difficult to have a listless day. It is really a very hard balance to keep. To stay free, list free (for the lack of a better word) and still be responsible. The second day on Ryan's day, I let go of all my plans and worries. I looked at Ryan and rolled with the day. The fun started off slow and then it just snowballed.. I didn't want it to end. We ate, we drank and we skated. We found new places and met some interesting characters. My body is wrecked but it was worth it. well I hope this is a better explanation :)... give me a break I was up 24 hours when I entered that entry. :) Have a good day. live, love and laugh. It was basically the theme of the weekend. He came down we had plans then we dropped it and just went along. Had some goals but didn't matter if we hit them of not what mattered was what we were doing that moment. I don't know I just had to write that down somewhere. It is something I've been trying to live by.
